Description: A monastic figure bearing an umbrella heads towards two warmly lit windows of home. Snow falls in swirls and wind drifts in this marvelous snow scene; rarely seen and technically magnificent, with embossing adding dimension to the flakes. Mount Koya is the location of a monastic complex belonging to the Shingon sect of esoteric Buddhism, and for centuries has been a popular pilgrimage site.
