Description: From the series 'Hokkaido Hakkei, (Ohnuma Park), the first series Maeda made. The series was celebrated by his teacher Unichi Hiratsuka, the important sosaku hanga artist. A timeless autumnal landscape in which the modern world seems far away. Maeda met Hiratsuka Un’ichi in 1923, and eventually came to assist him in the Yoyogi-ha artists group in the 1930s. He contributed to other sosaku hanga groups as well during his career
