Description: The artist comments on this print: Spring of 2018 has been particularly gray, so I had to brighten the days up a bit. Now where are those sunglasses? This highly abstract print combines extraordinarily vivid orange-red with purple. Seemingly, the hills are reflected in a body of water in the foreground demarcated by a thin yellow line. Wood-grain marks are clearly visible in the purple surfaces of the print -- The artist stated, "The wood grain on Dayspring was made by gluing very thin “American Pine” veneer onto a plywood block. The veneer area was then carved and scratched with a wire brush to make the wood grain stand out".
