Description: In this dramatic event the 12 disciples and Christ are tightly held in the small boat tipping precariously in the wind, their expressions finely individualized. In contrast, the sail and waves billow and rise as the disciples try to capture the tattered sails. Christ, in the center, appears to be asleep. "... he rebuked the wind and the raging waves and they ceased, and there was calm." Luke 8.22
