Description: Masterly, highly admired print by the artist, the Heron maiden looks out enticingly, her face partially hidden; fine line and subtle color of white, black, soft yellow and blue; beautiful barren pattern in background with gradation from black to soft grays. The Hon Maiden's Dance was a narrative originally performed in the Noh Theatre and later in Kabuki. It has been interpreted in many different images in woodblock prints for several hundred years.

Condition: excellent; the white robes are embossed with subtle 'cheesecloth 'pattern; entire robe finely embossed
