Description: Noet was a Frenchman, whose work was inspired by the Woodblock Prints of Utagawa Hiroshige This is an early printing of the series 'Scenes of Tokyo' 24 views,' the artist's most well known work. The fine lines in Nouet's prints may have been etched before being transferred to key blocks for printing. The artist lovingly created works depicting Tokyo prior to the destruction of war.
